IPB University Ready to Accept Prospective Students from Gaza, Palestine

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has just stated a commitment to accept 1.000 citizens from Gaza, Palestine to study in Indonesia. In response, the Rector of IPB University, Prof Dr Arif Satria, welcomed this and committed to accepting citizens from Gaza to study at IPB University.

“We are very ready to accept citizens from Gaza to study at IPB University. This is a form of our commitment to contribute internationally to enhance the academic capacity and skills of the citizens of Gaza, so that when they graduate from IPB, they can return to build their country armed with the knowledge gained during their studies at IPB University,” explained the Rector.

Regarding the study programs that Gaza citizens can participate in while studying at IPB University, the Rector said, “We have 60 study programs both in the Undergraduate Program (S1) and in the Applied Bachelor Program (D4). All of these study programs are very open for selection by the citizens of Gaza.”

Regarding the timing of the classes for citizens from Gaza, he mentioned that IPB University will wait for directions and coordination from the Indonesian government. “In principle, we will follow the stages and timelines set by the government,” said the Rector. (IAAS/KMR)
