IPB University Remains Among the Top 10 in Asia for Agriculture and Forestry

The QS World University Ranking (WUR) for 2025 has been released. IPB University has maintained its position as the top university in Southeast Asia, ranking 10th in Asia and 49th globally in the field of Agriculture and Forestry (by subject Agriculture and Forestry).
The Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, stated that this achievement is a testament to the university’s consistency in maintaining research performance, internationalization, research and innovation, as well as the competitiveness of its graduates in the job market.
“Alhamdulillah, IPB University has managed to maintain its global ranking, which is no easy feat. This further emphasizes IPB University’s position as one of the quality higher education institutions on a global scale. We hope to improve even more next year. Thank you for the support and hard work from all parties,” said Prof Arif.
Previously, in the QS WUR by Subject Agriculture and Forestry ranking for 2024, IPB University successfully retained its position in the Top 10 in Asia for Agriculture and Forestry. In that ranking, IPB University is ranked 51st in the world.
This ranking is based on various indicators, such as the employability of graduates, citations, academic reputation, research quality, and international research networks. In 2025, competition among universities has become increasingly fierce, with several prestigious institutions continuously raising their standards in education and research.
This year, nearly 500 institutions participated in the QS WUR ranking for agriculture and forestry, including many specialized organizations.(IAAS/RIN)
