IPB University and Grab Establish Strategic Cooperation on Environmentally Friendly Transportation

IPB University and PT Grab Teknologi Indonesia officially established a strategic cooperation in the development of environmentally friendly transportation.
This cooperation agreement was signed by Iki Sari Dewi as Director of Territory Jabo and ID Central Operations PT Grab Teknologi Indonesia and Prof Iskandar Z. Siregar as Vice Rector of IPB University for Global Connectivity, Collaboration , and Alumni Relations. The event was also witnessed by the Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria.
This cooperation was implemented through the inauguration of the Grab Shelter at the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) and the handover of 15 electric motorcycles or electric vehicles (EV) from PT Grab Teknologi Indonesia to IPB University.
“This shelter is expected to help students use transportation in a more orderly and comfortable manner. In addition, its existence also provides benefits for IPB University residents in supporting daily mobility,” he said.
In his speech, Prof Arif Satria said, “Thank you for the assistance in the construction of the shelter in the FEM Building and for the loan of 15 electric motorbikes (EV). I also thank you and hope that cooperation in various fields can continue to be developed, especially in the field of education,” he said.
With this collaboration, IPB University and Grab hope to create a greener transportation ecosystem and contribute to efforts to reduce carbon emissions in Indonesia. (IAAS/LAN)
