FEM IPB University Signs MoU with SKRU Thailand

The Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) of IPB University and Songkhla Rajabhat University (SKRU) Thailand have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). FEM IPB University and SKRU Thailand are committed to establishing cooperation in the three pillars of higher education, including education, research, and community service.

The Dean of FEM IPB University, Dr Irfan Syauqi Beik, welcomed this collaboration. He stated that this partnership includes student exchanges, community empowerment, and research collaboration, particularly in the field of management.

“We will identify feasible programs and activities for collaboration, including summer courses, student mobility, and joint Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN),” he said during the MoU signing in the FEM Meeting Room, IPB Dramaga Campus (5/2).

He added that the Department of Management at IPB University had previously established cooperation with SKRU Thailand for summer courses and joint publications. “Therefore, we want to extend this initiative with broader activities,” he added.

“Since last year, FEM IPB University has conducted community service programs (KKN) abroad, such as in Thailand and Malaysia. Thus, we have the opportunity to extend and increase the number of short courses for SKRU Thailand students so that more of them can study at IPB University,” said Dr Irfan.

The delegation from Songkhla Rajabhat University (SKRU) Thailand consisted of Assist Prof Pongsak Thongnueakhaeng (Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences), Assist Prof Walailak Kanchanasathian (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs), Assist Prof Chuta Kaewdet, Assoc Prof Prapaporn Yangprayong, Dr Pimjai Promsuwan, Dr Katwadee Madden, Assist Prof Nichapat Boonrat, and Melwin Perez.
