Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria said that IPB University will develop Kitchen Laboratory & School and Community Feeding Practices to support the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. The development program was initiated in collaboration with the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) and the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) as well as Unicef.

“IPB University is expected to become the Center of Excellence for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program,” he said when presenting the performance report of IPB in 2024 at the Joint Meeting and Plenary Session of the Board of Trustees (MWA), Thursday, 16/1 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB Dramaga Campus.

“Later, this Kitchen Laboratory School and Community will become a Center of Excellence in development, research, and capacity building for the MBG ecosystem,” said Rector.

Prof Arif continued, not only food issues, but the concern is the ecosystem aspects from upstream to downstream that must be handled properly. He also hoped that IPB University would become a pioneer of the Food Smart Village Ecosystem in Indonesia.

This Rabuan Bersama activity makes performance evaluation by presenting the extended family of IPB University as a form of transparency and a form of effective communication culture to realize continuous improvement.

Meanwhile, Chairman of MWA IPB University, Prof Hardinsyah announced the performance assessment of the rector of IPB University during the period of 2024 which received an assessment of 86.4 percent which means very good or equal to superior. 

“The overall performance evaluation assessment is based on the assessment of the Main Performance Index (IKU) and other achievements. This assessment is based on eight IKU Indicators of State Universities (PTN) and three non-IKU indicators, namely the performance accountability system of government agencies, the final financial balance sheet, and the integrity zone,” he explained.
