The Directorate of Student Affairs (Ditmawa) of IPB University held Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Softskills Grant Activities. This activity is part of the student development program through the Soft Skills Grant.

The Softskills Grant Program aims to shape student character in academic and non-academic aspects. In addition, this program is expected to be part of an enrichment course to complement the certificate of certificate companion (SKPI) that can be chosen by students.

Monev was attended by the persons in charge of the Softskills 2024 Grant activities from each faculty/school at IPB University. This activity was also attended by a team of reviewers whose task was to assess and evaluate the Softskills Grant activity reports that had been implemented and reported previously by each faculty or school.

Director of Student Affairs of IPB University, Dr Ujang Suwarna said, this monev aims to measure and assess the success of the Softskills Grant program in 2024. He also wanted to ensure that every activity carried out by students could have a positive impact on the development of their soft skills.

“This evaluation is also an important step in improving the quality of the Softskills Grant program in the future,” he said.

On this occasion, he also expressed his hope that the Softskills Grant program can continue to develop into one of the strategic student programs that can shape the character of superior IPB University students.

“We hope that through this activity, students will not only develop in the academic field, but also have the skills needed to face challenges in the world of work,” said Dr Ujang.

According to him, the Softskills Grant program is one of the pillars in shaping the personality of students who are resilient, have integrity, and are ready to compete at the national and international levels.

This activity is expected to be an effective means in developing student potential, especially in improving interpersonal skills, leadership, and other skills needed in the world of work.

He also emphasized IPB University’s commitment to provide support to students in enriching their competencies, both in academic and non-academic fields.

“With this monev, it is hoped that the Soft Skills Grant program can run more effectively, efficiently, and provide maximum benefits for the development of student character at IPB University,” he hoped. (*/Rz) (IAAS/Aly)
