IPB University Gives Various Awards to Young Student Entrepreneurs
IPB University gave a number of awards to young student entrepreneurs. The appreciation was given in the 2024 Entrepreneurship Program Grand Closing event as the culmination of a series of student entrepreneurship activities. The event was held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (8/12).
Assistant Director of Career and Entrepreneurship Development, Directorate of Career Development, Entrepreneurship and Alumni Relations, Rici Tri Harpin Pranata, SKPm, MSi said that the entrepreneurship program at IPB University consists of four coaching programs.
The four coaching programs include the Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW), Startup School, Entrepreneurship Independence (WMK), and Student Innopreneur.
In addition to the four coaching programs, IPB University also has an integrated entrepreneurship information system, and a student entrepreneurial community.
“All of these programs run simultaneously and complement each other to provide support for the development of entrepreneurship at the student level,” he said.
Rici continued, in 2024 this coaching program had succeeded in reaching 252 student business teams who participated in the entire series of activities.
In addition, 60 mentors and small and medium enterprise (SME) partners participated in assisting the coaching process.
“We thank you, the presence of these mentors and partners provides practical experience and direct learning that is very beneficial for the participants,” he said.
IPB University Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana said that IPB University continues to strengthen its commitment as a techno socio-entrepreneurial university through various entrepreneurship programs.
Prof Deni said that based on the results of talent mapping, around 30-40 percent of students have an interest in continuing their careers in entrepreneurship.
“This is a very positive thing, because students are not only directed to become professionals, but also supported to develop their potential as entrepreneurs,” he said.
Prof Deni also expressed his appreciation to partners who have supported the success of a series of entrepreneurship programs over the past year.
“Hopefully collaboration with partners can continue to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports student business growth,” he said.
Chairman of the Independence Entrepreneurship Program, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Gamaliel Alexander Emil Waney, ST, MLA expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of students in participating in the Merdeka Entrepreneurship program.
