Directorate of Human Resources of IPB University Holds Workshop 3 Preparation for Implementation of Permendikbudristek Number 44 Year 2024
The Directorate of Human Resources (HR) of IPB University held a Workshop 3 Preparation for the Implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Permendikbudristek) Number 44 of 2024 concerning Profession, Career, and Income of Lecturers. This activity was held in Ballroom 1 IPB Convention Center (ICC), Baranangsiang, Bogor City, (5/12).
Director of Human Resources of IPB University, Dr Heti Mulyati said that in this workshop the deans at IPB University or their representatives presented the results of discussions related to the preparation of the implementation of Permendikbudirstek Number 44 Year 2024 which had been carried out in each faculty and school respectively.
Dr Heti said, the presentation of the results of the workshop 3 discussion focused on three things. “The first is to explore the existing scientific fields. Perhaps by looking at the existing divisions and personnel, there will be gaps that we must overcome together,” she said.
The second is to explore the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture and Research Number 500/M/2024 on Minimum Standards for Lecturer Performance Indicators and Criteria for Scientific Publications. The decree states that each level of position has a minimum lecturer performance indicator (IKD).
“We want to know the suggestions and input from faculties and schools for one semester credit unit (SKS) in each activity whether it is the same or not,” she said.
The third discussion was related to promotion and demotion. Dr Heti said that each faculty and school at IPB University had carried out many promotions through proposals from lecturers, assessing scientific work, and so on which were discussed in the senate.
“Then, will demotion also be done the same way? We want to hear free exploration from you to convey the results of discussions in your respective faculties or schools,” said Dr Heti.
After this third workshop, the Directorate of Human Resources of IPB University will formulate the results of discussions in faculties and schools in preparation for the implementation of Permendikbudristek Number 44 of 2024 within IPB University. The Directorate of Human Resources of IPB University will also invite representatives of faculties and schools to participate in a focus group discussion (FGD) to discuss the formulation that has been prepared.
The final result of this workshop is the rector’s regulation. However, for its implementation, Dr Heti said that IPB University is still waiting for the policy of the ministry that has just been split from the Ministry of Education and Research, namely the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemendiksaintek). Permendikbudristek Number 44 of 2024 allows it to be evaluated under the new minister.
Nevertheless, IPB University’s Vice Rector for Resource Resilience and Infrastructure, Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet, assumes that until now the candy is still valid because there is no regulation that revokes the regulation.
“Therefore, I would like to invite you to continue what we have started. We want to take advantage of this opportunity to transform HR management at IPB University because it has become our need,” said Dr Alim. (MHT/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
