Four IPB University Study Programs Conduct Monev of Independent Campus Competition Program
The Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Dikti) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) conducted external monitoring and evaluation (monev) of four IPB University Study Programs (study programs) that received the 2024 Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) grant.
The four study programs that received PKKM grants in this first year include Landscape Architecture Study Program, Nutrition and Feed Technology Study Program, Plant Protection Study Program, and Livestock Production Technology Study Program.
The activity was held offline at the IPB University Rectorate Building, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (31/10-2/11). This activity was carried out to evaluate the implementation of the ongoing PKKM program.
The Chairperson of the IPB University PKKM Task Force Team, Prof Yulin Lestari conveyed, this external monev activity was carried out to evaluate the progress of program implementation, output achievements, performance indicators, physical achievements, and realization of PKKM funds.
In addition, she continued, external monev aims to identify obstacles and provide input to program implementers to ensure the smooth running of activities and achievement of output targets.
“This monev also serves as a forum for input to the Directorate General of Higher Education about the implementation of the program as a whole,” said Prof Yulin who is also the Director of Educational Transformation and Learning Technology (DTPTP) IPB University.
The monev activity began with an opening and meeting with the leadership of IPB University, which was attended by Prof Suryo Wiyono (Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture), Dr Idat Galih Permana (Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science), Dr Afra DN Makalew (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture), Dr I Wayan Nurjaya ( Chief of the Quality Management Office), Dr Wawan Oktariza ( Chief of the Internal Audit Office); as well as representatives of the Directorate of Student Affairs and the Directorate of Finance.
Prof Yulin said, monev activities were not only carried out at the leadership level, but also included evaluation and verification of physical output achievements and realization in each study program, especially the procurement, finance, and implementation teams at the study program level. Discussion and review are also carried out through meetings with students and lecturers involved.
The Directorate General of Higher Education’s external M&E team who attended the PKKM offline visitation included Prof T Basaruddin, Dr Widodo, Prof Enny Ratnaningsih, Prof Bondan Tiara Sofyan, and the Inspectorate General team consisting of Bunga Rosep Devianeu, Tesalonika Ruth D, and from the Directorate of Institutions-Ditjen Dikti, Novrianti Putri Ardely.
In the final session of the monev, Prof T Basaruddin, as the leader of the monev team, expressed his appreciation for the performance of IPB University, which in the third year of the national PKKM program still contributed greatly to the acquisition of grants and achievements at the national level.
In 2024, four study programs with a total funding of 6,3 billion rupiah and a companion fund of 706,9 million rupiah have been running well and institutionalized with solid support from all levels, especially from faculty leaders, lecturers, and students.
The implementation of PKKM has accelerated the achievement of study program excellence, especially the significant contribution of the four PKKM recipient study programs to the improvement of key performance indicators (KPI) at the institutional level and the implementation of the Freedom of Learning – Independence Campus (MBKM) as a whole.
