Accreditation of Master of Applied Mathematics Study Program, IPB University Received Visitation by Lamsama

IPB University received an accreditation visitation by the Institute for Self-Accreditation of Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (Lamsama) in the Rector’s Conference Room, IPB Dramaga Campus (15/11). The accredited study program (Prodi) is the Master of Applied Mathematics Program, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

This accreditation brought two Lamsama assessors, namely Prof Sri Wahyuni (Gadjah Mada University) and Prof Basuki Widodo (Sepuluh November Institute of Technology).

Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana said, IPB University is ready to receive input related to the accreditation process of Applied Mathematics Master Program. 

“We will continue to improve the quality of the study program for the success of students and the achievement of better academic goals. Hopefully the implementation of this program will run smoothly,” he said. 

Secretary of IPB University, Prof Agus Purwito said IPB University is committed to continue to support efforts to improve the quality of education in order to meet standards and provide the best service for students. He hoped this assessment process would run smoothly and be useful.

“We ask for input from the assessors to improve the quality of education at IPB University. Input from the assessors will be a guideline for us in improving and developing the education process towards a better direction,” he said.

Representative of the Lamsama assessor team, Prof Sri Wahyuni said that the task of the assessor team was to conduct a review and ensure conformity between the written report and the real conditions. 

“The input we get will be conveyed for further improvement. We hope this activity can be a significant step in maintaining and improving the quality standards of existing education,” she said. (dr/Rz) (IAAS/Aly)
