IPB Goes to School Program Wins Gold Winner at AMEC Global Awards 2024 in London
IPB University has once again achieved international recognition at the AMEC Global Communication Effectiveness Awards 2024. During the awards ceremony held in London, England (7/11), one of its flagship communication programs, IPB Goes to School (IGTS), won the Gold Winner title in the category of Best Use of Measurement for a Single Event or Campaign.
AMEC, the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communication, is headquartered in London, England. According to its official website, the AMEC Awards is a global program that honors excellence in communication measurement.
Entering its 22nd year, this award aims to acknowledge and celebrate outstanding work, highlighting the importance of research, measurement, insight, and analysis in communication programs.
The Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, expressed his gratitude and pride in this achievement, stating that it aligns with IPB University’s 2023–2028 goal of establishing world-class education.
“Alhamdulillah, IPB University has once again upheld its name on the global stage. This demonstrates that IPB University can shine not only for Indonesia but also for the world,” said Prof Arif.
IPB University’s success at the AMEC Awards is attributed to the effectiveness of the IGTS 2024 program in increasing new student admissions by 40 percent. A comprehensive strategy, including the use of social media platforms and mass media engagement, ensured broad reach and effective communication. This program directly engaged more than 1.600 schools and nearly 195.000 high school students.
Previously, IPB University also received global recognition at the THE Awards Asia 2024, winning the Student Recruitment Campaign of the Year category from Times Higher Education (THE) for its IPB OSIS Fest communication program. At the event held on April 29, 2024, IPB University was the only university in Indonesia to win across all categories. (Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
