IPB University Collaborates with Japanese Delegation, Opening Ways for Students to Gain International Work Experience
IPB University received a visit from a delegation from Japan led by Usman Naito (CEO of Hamaren Group), Ichi-en Yoshitomo (Chief Manager of TRUSTLINE Cooperative Association), Itoh Yoshihito (General Manager of BMG Corporation) and Alma (Corporate Secretary of Hamaren Group) at the Rectorate Building, IPB University (30/10).
The visit discussed opportunities for cooperation in the form of an internship program that allows IPB University students, both undergraduate and master’s programs, who are interested in undergoing work experience in Japanese companies for three months or 12 months.
Present from IPB University, Prof Yusli Wardiatno (Vice Dean of the Postgraduate School for Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni), Dr Endar Hasafah Nugrahani (Vice Dean of the School of Data Science, Mathematics, and Informatics for Resources, Cooperation, and Development), Dr Fitriya Nur Annisa Dewi (Assistant Director of Global Connectivity for International Cooperation and Networking) and representatives from the Directorate of International Education and the Directorate of Career Development, Entrepreneurship, and Alumni Relations.
The program is in line with IPB University in creating quality graduates who are ready to compete in the world of work, both domestically and internationally. Students who take part in this program will gain various important technical and interpersonal skills, while also earning income according to Japanese wage standards with adequate insurance coverage.
“This collaboration is a strategic step in expanding IPB University’s global connectivity and strengthening students’ competitiveness at the international level. We greatly appreciate the initiative of the Japanese delegation, which is in line with IPB University’s vision to produce superior graduates with global experience and competence,” explained Prof Yusli Wardiatno.
Prof Yusli expressed his hope that this internship program can provide significant benefits for IPB University students, so that they can contribute positively to self-development and make a real contribution to society, both in Indonesia and internationally.
