Green Synergy: DPMA and Fahutan IPB University Together with FIFGROUP Launch Sustainable Forest Program in Garut
The Directorate of Agromaritime Community Development (DPMA) and the Faculty of Forestry and Environment (Fahutan) of IPB University in collaboration with FIFGROUP launched a sustainable forest program through the “FIFGROUP Forest” kick off event in Jaya Mekar Village, Pakenjeng District, Garut Regency, West Java.
This program is an important step in preserving the environment while building a sustainable business ecosystem in the region.
Dr. Handian Purwawangsa, Director of PMA IPB University, on that occasion emphasized his commitment in preserving the forest ecosystem while spreading benefits to the community around the forest.
“We from IPB University are committed to continue supporting initiatives like this, which not only preserve forest ecosystems but also provide benefits to communities around forest areas.”
Harlyadi Bangkit Kuncoro, West Java Area Department Head of FIFGROUP, in his speech stated, “We hope that this FIFGROUP Forest program can be our real contribution in preserving the environment, as well as providing a positive impact on the local community.”
He added that this collaboration is an example of strong synergy between companies, educational institutions, and communities in protecting natural resources.
Esther Sri Harjati, Director of FIFGROUP, also emphasized the company’s commitment in protecting the environment. “We at FIFGROUP believe that preserving forests is not only the responsibility of the government or the community, but also the business sector.”
Through this program, she hopes to make a real contribution to protecting the environment while providing benefits to the community around the forest area.
The event was also attended by various other stakeholders, such as the Corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Department Head of Astra Financial, Wioko Yudhantara, and the Secretary of the Garut Environment Agency, Drs H Bubu Burhanudin Apip, MSi. (DPMA/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
