Preparing Professional and Character Young Lecturers, SKHB IPB University Organizes Lecturer 101 Training

School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) IPB University organized a series of Lecturer 101 training for young lecturers. This activity took place for three days, from Wednesday to Friday, (2-4/10) at the Transformation Hall, SKHB IPB University.

This training aims to equip young lecturers with innovative pedagogical skills and the latest knowledge about educational technology.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of SKHB IPB University, Dr drh Amrozi. In his speech, Dr Amrozi said that this activity is expected to be an evaluation of learning. “Evaluation of the Teaching and Learning Process (EPBM) can be used as an evaluation and input, moreover what must be evaluated is the learning method”, said Dr Amrozi.

The materials presented included the philosophy of the ideal lecturer, teaching ethics, work-family balanced as a lecturer, teaching methods and teaching resources, introduction and use of IPB’s Learning Management System (LMS), classroom management, development of students’ potential, question making, assessment, and evaluation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) for teaching, effective communication across generations, academic leadership, and teaching practice.

trainees not only received theoretical material, but also hands-on practice. They were trained by experts in the field of education and technology, who provided tips and tricks to create an interesting and interactive learning atmosphere.

This training is expected to provide provision to young lecturers of SKHB IPB University to improve the quality of learning methods to students, so as to produce graduates who are competent and ready to compete in the world of work. (DO/Rz) (IAAS/Hap)
