Ruangguru’s Clash of Champions (CoC) competition has reached the final round on (17/8). Two IPB University students, M Ficky Haris Ardiansyah and Sarah Firjani Hanisah, had the opportunity to participate in the educational game competition. Although they did not win, they were grateful because the event provided a lot of experience.

“Ruangguru’s CoC is one of the most valuable experiences, especially for me in my final year before graduating because I can get the opportunity to increase my network and improve my personal branding,” said Ficky during the final chapter at Sarbini Hall, South Jakarta, which was broadcast online.

Ficky said CoC is a competition for basic math and memorization skills held by Ruangguru in the form of a gameshow. Participants who joined the competition were those who received an invitation and passed the selection process. The selection consisted of self-profiling and doing questions, some of which were interviews.

“The participants were from various well-known universities, domestic and foreign. It was really exciting and challenging because the participants were all outstanding. So, I was motivated to give my best,” said the student of Statistics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA).

Sarah, a student of Nutrition Science, Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema), was happy and grateful to be able to represent IPB University in the Ruangguru CoC event. She did not expect the event to attract such enthusiasm from the community.

“My reason for participating in CoC is actually the same as my reason for participating in every new activity, which is that I want to get new learning and relationships. I believe that in CoC, there is a lot of learning that I can’t get on other occasions,” she said.

In addition, because CoC will be an event aired on YouTube media, I want to experience shooting with great people,” she added.

In the event, Sarah had to face various complicated questions. She was reminded of her high school days when she often participated in Olympiads and many complicated calculations were involved. Therefore, according to her, Ruangguru CoC is not only a test of skill, but also a mental test because many types of questions require concentration, accuracy, and good strategy.

“In addition, because all CoC participants are the best and outstanding students, it makes this competition even more fierce and challenging,” she said.

By joining Ruangguru’s CoC, Sarah got a golden opportunity to learn, connect with great students, and inspire the community. Through this CoC, she got many new opportunities that arose to spread benefits to others.

“Not only that, after this event went viral, I have many opportunities to network with figures that I admire, nutritionists and dietitians in Indonesia, fellow nutrition students throughout Indonesia, and can develop my social media to share experiences with others,” said Sarah.

“These things are a blessing that I never imagined before. Thank you to Ruangguru and Clash of Champions for giving me so many amazing opportunities,” she concluded. (MHT/Rz) (IAAS/Hap)
