Commemorating the 78th Bhayangkara Anniversary, IPB Innovation KKNT Students Participate in Planting 1,000 Mangroves with Polresta Pati
Students of IPB University’s Innovation Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) in Bulumanis Kidul Village, Margoyoso, Pati, Central Java participated in the planting of 1,000 mangroves organised by the Pati City Resort Police (Polresta). This activity was held to commemorate the 78th Bhayangkara Anniversary (HUT) and aims to increase environmental awareness and maintain coastal ecosystems.
The event which took place on the coast of Bulumanis Kidul Village was attended by the Chief of Police of Pati, Kombes Pol Andhika Bayu Adhittama, along with the ranks of the police, village officials, and the local community. KKNT Innovation IPB University students participated in this activity as a form of real contribution in environmental conservation.
Kapolresta Pati in his speech conveyed the importance of the participation of all parties in preserving nature, especially the mangrove ecosystem which has a vital role in preventing abrasion and maintaining environmental balance. “Mangrove trees will help prevent disasters when there are tidal waves,” said Kombes Pol Andhika Bayu Adhittama.
The team leader of KKNT Innovation students, Mochamad Dwianto, stated that their involvement in this activity was an active participation of IPB University students in environmental conservation.Â
“We are very enthusiastic to be involved in this mangrove planting activity. In addition to providing valuable experience for us, this activity is also a tangible manifestation of our contribution to the environment and society,” he said.
The 1.000 mangrove planting activity is expected to have a positive impact on the surrounding environment, increase awareness of the importance of mangrove conservation, and strengthen the relationship between Polresta Pati, IPB University students, and the people of Bulumanis Kidul Village.
Dwi said that with the spirit of togetherness and concern for the environment, this activity ran successfully and smoothly. He hopes that this initiative can be an example for other communities to be more concerned and active in preserving nature. (*/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
