Fun Gathering IPB University, Exploring the Potential of Children of Employees
The Directorate of Human Resources (HR) of IPB University in collaboration with Agrianita held a Fun Gathering for the children of employees. This Fun Gathering was titled ‘Lejitkan Potensi Menjadi Generasi Tangguh Kebanggaan Negeri’.
This event aims to provide education and motivation for the children of employees who receive IPB University tuition assistance. A total of approximately 800 participants from various educational levels attended the Fun Gathering. This activity took place at Graha Widya Wisuda Building (GWW), IPB Dramaga (13/07).
In his opening remarks, Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet, Vice Rector of IPB University in the field of Resource Resilience and Infrastructure appreciated the Fun Gathering event this year.
“We welcome this Fun Gathering activity and hope that this activity can be repeated in the coming year. Hopefully IPB University’s commitment to continue to improve the welfare of employee families can continue and give birth to a strong generation in the future,” he said.
In a separate interview, Lisda Fauziah Harahap as Chairperson of the IPB University Foster Parents Movement (GOTA) and Elly Oemar as Vice Chairperson of Agrianita IPB University said that they were grateful for the organization of this Fun Gathering event. She said, this is a routine event carried out by GOTA IPB University, but the first time it was held on the scale of IPB University.
“The purpose of this event is to motivate the children of IPB University employees so that they have high dreams. This high dream can be achieved with the highest possible education. Therefore, IPB University’s commitment to the welfare of employees’ children can be achieved,” she explained.
She added, “When the child has the motivation to achieve higher education, the scholarship from IPB University can be maximized. This is where the role of parents comes to provide support in the form of nutritious food for their children.”
The Fun Gathering event this time consisted of several series, including motivational training activities and educational games. The first training session was attended by junior and senior high school students, while elementary school students participated in educational games held in the GWW courtyard. In the second session, junior and senior high school students participated in educational games and elementary school students participated in motivational training by IPB University alumnus, Aris Ahmad Jaya, DVM, MM.
