Two Years of Work to Achieve ‘Desa Semarak’, PPK Ormawa Himasiter IPB University Presents Rama Shinta Program
The Animal Nutrition and Food Student Association or Himpunan Mahasiswa Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak (Himasiter) of IPB University successfully held the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program Workshop (PPK Ormawa). This workshop is an important forum in the introduction of programs and the role of students in community empowerment efforts in Sinarsari Village, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
In this year’s Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program Workshop (PPK Ormawa), Himasiter IPB University carries the theme ‘Sinarsari Village Empowerment Strategy through ADIWIRA Institution by Applying the Principles of Healthy Independent Environmentally Friendly (Semarak)’.
In this workshop, Himasiter IPB University introduced two programs: Shinta (Healthy Without Stunting) and Rama (Environmentally Friendly). Both of these programs are under the auspices of the ADIWIRA institution, which aims to create an independent, healthy, and environmentally friendly village.
The leader of the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program Workshop (PPK Ormawa) Himasiter IPB University team, Mutiara Rizkia Nurkamil explained, the Shinta Ambassador program focuses on improving public health with the main goal of resolving stunting. This program includes nutrition education, routine health checks, and counseling on the importance of balanced nutritional intake.
“Through this program, it is hoped that the stunting rate in Sinarsari Village can be significantly reduced,” Rizkia said in front of dozens of residents and local community leaders who attended the workshop at Sinarsari Village Hall, (25/6).
On the other hand, Rizkia continued, Duta Rama focuses on environmental conservation and food security. The program includes various initiatives such as environmentally friendly waste management, and training in processing household waste and livestock waste. “The goal is to ensure that Sinarsari Village is not only physically healthy but also has a sustainable environment and supports food security,” she said.
The Chief of Sinarsari Village Government Section, Acim Setiabudi expressed his support for the program. He expressed his gratitude to Himasiter IPB University for the initiative that is very beneficial for the village.
“We are very grateful for the attention and efforts made by IPB University students. This program really helps us in improving the quality of life of the villagers,” said Acim.
One of the community leaders present also expressed his appreciation. “Programs like this are very important for our village. With the education and assistance from students, we understand the importance of protecting our health and environment,” he said.
With the enthusiasm and active participation of the villagers, Rizkia hopes that this program can run smoothly and achieve its goals. Himasiter IPB University is committed to continue to assist and provide support to Sinarsari Village in achieving independence and prosperity. “Hopefully this program will be the first step towards a healthier, independent, and environmentally friendly Sinarsari Village,” she concluded.
