IPB University Students Assist in Rebranding Giwangkara River Tubing Tour in Neglasari Village
Students of the Department of Communication Science and Community Development (SKPM), IPB University conducted assistance activities for rebranding Giwangkara River Tubing tourism as a promotional effort so that the public knows that this tour is still actively operating. The mentoring activities were carried out on 18/4-31/5 May at Giwangkara River Tubing Tour, Neglasari Village, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency.
The mentoring activities began with a direct meeting with the Giwangkara River Tubing tour manager, Ibrahim Ahmad or familiarly called Damu. In this activity, students took pictures and videos for tourism promotion videos on social media.
Students also provide material related to the operation of social media in order to attract tourists who want to visit. Damu said he was very grateful for this assistance.
“Alhamdulillah, the presence of these students is very helpful for the administrators, because we also have difficulty handling social media and knowledge to make promotional videos. With the help of IPB University students, hopefully in the future this tourist spot can be better known to many people,” said Damu.
After the mentoring activity, Giwangkara River Tubing’s social media now has neat content containing information about Giwangkara from the management, rescue, location, price posters and several promotional videos to attract tourists. (*/Lp) (IAAS/STD)
