IPB University Officially Establishes School of Data Science, Mathematics and Informatics

Based on the Decree (SK) of IPB University Rector No. 144 of 2024, IPB University is proud to announce the establishment of the School of Data Science, Mathematics, and Informatics which has been officially approved by the Rector of IPB University on March 22, 2024.

The establishment of the School of Data Science, Mathematics, and Informatics is a strategic step for IPB University in strengthening and developing critical fields of science for today’s digital era.

“This school is designed to build mathematical, statistical, and computational concepts and theories that will support the development of analysis, modeling, and simulation techniques. This will enable the transformation of data and information supported by intelligently integrated instrumentation, digitization, and automation processes,” said Prof Arif Satria, Rector of IPB University.

Prof Arif continued, with the establishment of this school, IPB University is committed to producing graduates who are competent in the fields of data science, mathematics, and informatics, who are ready to face challenges and opportunities in the digital era.

“Graduates of these programs are expected to become experts in data analysis, mathematical modeling, and the development of innovative computing systems,” he said.

The School of Data Science, Mathematics, and Informatics will provide education programs at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels with the following study programs:
1. Statistics and Data Science Study Program
2. Mathematics Study Program
3. Actuarial Study Program
4. Computer Science Study Program
