Educate the Best Sons and Daughters, Intan Jaya Regency Government and IPB University Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

IPB University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Intan Jaya Regency Government. Cooperation will be carried out in the fields of education, research and community service. The signing of the cooperation was held in the Rector’s Conference Room, IPB Dramaga Campus, on 21/5.

Apolos Bagau, ST as the Temporary Official (Pjs) Regent of Intan Jaya Regency in his speech expressed his high appreciation to IPB University and Alirena Foundation which had facilitated the Regional Government to carry out cooperation in the field of education.

“This cooperation is one of them in order to prepare education for the best sons and daughters of Intan Jaya Regency to enter IPB University. There are 20 children who will take the entrance exam test, I hope that our best sons and daughters can be accepted at IPB University,” said Apolos.

He said, when the definitive regent had been elected, the cooperation between Intan Jaya Regency and IPB University should be continued and improved. “The best sons and daughters who will study at IPB University will later serve and be able to apply the knowledge gained at IPB University,” he said.

Meanwhile, IPB University Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Collaboration and Alumni Relations, Prof Iskandar Zulkarnain expressed his gratitude to the Alirena Foundation for facilitating the establishment of IPB University’s cooperation with the Intan Jaya Regency Government.

“Thank you for choosing IPB University to send your best sons and daughters to study at IPB University. Hopefully they can pass the selection and can follow the education at IPB University,” said Prof Iskandar.

Furthermore, Prof Iskandar hopes that through education at IPB University the sons and daughters of Intan Jaya Regency can become innovative, agile and creative people so that they can help development in Intan Jaya Regency. (dh/Lp) (IAAS/Hap)
