Fapet IPB University and Association of Fapet Retirees Hold Healthy Morning Walk and Campus Tour
In order to strengthen the relationship, Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) IPB University together with the Association of Fapet Retirees held a Healthy Morning Walk (Japas) and Campus Tour (13/5). A total of nearly 50 Fapet residents consisting of retirees, leaders, lecturers and education staff (tendik) participated in the activity.
The activity began with the gathering of the participants at Fapet, then with the IPB bus vehicle, the participants were taken to Lake SDGs to enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air. The journey continued to the cattle barn, broiler closed house, then the sheep barn, and finally arrived at the Spirit Garden. Satisfied in the cage and garden area, participants were taken back around to the Rectorate and the IPB coin area in the Innovation Park to capture the moment.
The next trip, participants were taken to the IPB Future Museum and Gallery located in Landhuis to commemorate the history of IPB University since its establishment until now. After the tour, the trip ended back at Fapet. The participants rested while having a chat between retired and active Faculty members.
Prof Emeritus Peni S Hardjosworo, a retired Professor of Fapet IPB University who initiated the activity, was very impressed with the attention given by Fapet.
“What you are doing is in accordance with what we expect, what we want. You have a personality that respects parents,” he said. Prof Peni also prayed and hoped that research advances in Fapet would continue and get even higher.
Dean of Fapet IPB University, Dr Idat Galih Permana, also appreciated the presence of Fapet retirees at the event. “This is a happiness and honour for us who are currently still active to be visited by senior ladies and gentlemen, our teachers, as well as the tendik who used to guide us all together. The provision from you as seniors is extraordinary and becomes a foothold for us to continue to develop in Fapet,” he said.
“Over the years there have indeed been changes that have occurred at IPB University. There are many facilities developed at IPB University in order to improve the quality of learning on campus,” he added. (FD/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
