IPB University KKN-T Innovation Students Present Work Programme Results, Introduce IPB Digitani Application
IPB University students who are members of the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) of Sukajaya Village Innovation held a second workshop which was a presentation of the results of the work programme at the Sukajaya Village hall, Bojongpicung District, Cianjur Regency, West Java on Friday, 26/1. The work programme focuses on five areas: education, agriculture, social, cultural and administrative management.
Sukajaya Village Innovation KKN-T Coordinator, Muhammad Zaki Ulil Abshor, explained that there are several work programmes brought by the Sukajaya Village Innovation KKN-T group.
“The work programme includes educational activities and simulations of making organic fertiliser, planting superior IPB University seedlings with the local Women Farmers Group (KWT), updating the Sukajaya Village map and celebrating Sukajaya Village’s birthday. There is also a work programme in collaboration with the KKNT Inovasi Cikondang Village group, Sanyamana,” said Zaki.
The student from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) explained that Sanyamana stands for “Healthy Taninya, Makmur Sadayana” which aims to increase the knowledge of Sukajaya and Cikondang Village farmers about the prevention and control of pests and diseases in rice plants and the health of agricultural land.
“In this work programme, the IPB Digitani application is also introduced as an agricultural digital platform that is expected to bridge local farmers with IPB University experts,” concluded Zaki.
Lecturer Field Supervisor (DPL) of KKN-T Inovasi Sukajaya Village, Tri Sudibyo said that KKN-T Innovation IPB University was again held in Sukajaya Village. Tri, who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (Fateta), appreciated the success of the Sukajaya Village Innovation KKN-T group which had carried out various work programmes well.
“It is hoped that the potentials of Sukajaya Village that have not been touched in this period of KKN-T Inovasi can be considered as the focus of work programmes in the next period of KKN-T Inovasi activities,” Tri said.
Sukajaya Village Head, Andriana, thanked IPB University for choosing Sukajaya Village as one of the KKN-T Inovasi locations. “This is a place where students can share the knowledge gained from lectures with the community, and the community can also share their experiences in various ways with students,” he said.
In line with Tri Sudibyo, Andriana hopes that the next period of KKN-T Inovasi can bring other innovations from IPB University to Sukajaya Village.
The Chief of the Sukajaya Village KWT, Iyan Listya, revealed that the work programme implemented by the Sukajaya Village Innovation KKN-T group was beneficial for the development of the community, especially the KWT.
“The Sukajaya Village Innovation KKN-T group actively contributes by holding various trainings, especially for KWT, such as providing seeds and seedlings, joint planting and making organic fertiliser,” said Iyan. (*/Lp) (IAAS/RUM)
