“The special thing that I feel the most is the existence of a planning division, especially in the field of GIS which is very useful in the world of work that I am currently engaged in,” he explained.

He said he gained a lot of knowledge and experience from the GIS laboratory. Students are invited to go to the field and practice their knowledge directly in the Gunung Walat University Forest Laboratory.

“The lectures that we undergo in the Forest Management Study Programme of IPB University are also fun because they are supported by competent lecturers but still fun,” he said.

More clearly, students are given knowledge and competencies related to forest resource inventory, forest ecology, forest protection, climatology, policy formulation in ecosystem-based sustainable forest management, to remote sensing and GIS-based forest mapping.
