IPB University Appreciates the Glorious Achievements of Students throughout 2023 through the IPB Bersyukur Event
IPB University gave appreciation for the glorious achievements of students in various events throughout 2023. Appreciation for the struggle of the student delegation was carried out through a series of award events ‘IPB Bersyukur: Gemilang Prestasi Mahasiswa 2023’ which was held at Grha Widya Wisuda, Campus of IPB Dramaga, Wednesday (27/12).
Prof drh Deni Noviana, Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs said that the event was a form of IPB University’s appreciation for the struggle of student delegates in achieving various achievements.
“By bringing the spirit of ‘comeback stronger’, the brilliant achievements of IPB University students in 2023, cannot be separated from a series of in-depth evaluations of strategies and implementation techniques,” explained Prof Deni.
He said, the blueprint for IPB University’s achievement coaching strategy was wrapped in the title ‘Ministry of Education and Culture Achievement Goals (KAGs) 2023. It consists of KAGs Special Stage for Student Achievement Selection (Pilmapres) and Student Creativity Programme-National Scientific Week (PKM Pimnas), then KAGs stage 1 to 3 for other competitions.
The delegation coaching process, he continued, is adjusted to the type of competition and is divided into four seasons, namely preparation, coaching, competition and evaluation. Starting with a campaign to build awareness and urgency of IPB University’s achievements, enrichment, monitoring, and assistance to be able to show their best work.
“From these various competitions, IPB University has sent KAGs delegates with a total of 823 people and more than 516 teams or individuals in competitions equivalent to the national level. In addition, the achievements of students in independent competitions at the national level are 459 achievements and at the international level are 82 achievements registered in the system and many more,” he explained.
In order to improve achievement and reputation, Prof Deni said, IPB University also provided facilities for student delegates who had competed amounting to more than 246 million rupiah for 198 competitive proposal proposers. More than 600 million rupiah is also allocated for proposers of national and international competitions.
“In addition, we also develop information technology with features that support student activities, especially the Freedom of Learning – Independence Campus (MBKM) programme,” he added.
Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, who was also present to give a speech, said that the need for achievement is the capital of society to achieve progress. This capital is also needed to build an ecosystem and culture of persistence accompanied by intention. According to him, this is important to maximise personal potential, especially for IPB University graduates.
“We continue to build this ecosystem from the beginning of college, starting from free training, namely 7 habits to build a proactive attitude in achieving. IPB University is the only university that does this until finally we continue to achieve achievements,” he said.
In order to continue to encourage student achievement, IPB University will also inaugurate the International Student Centre. He sought that students would not only focus on achieving in the field of reasoning or academics, but also non-academics.
The event also featured a recap of IPB wUniversity student achievements throughout 2023. The student delegates were also treated to a series of entertainment in the form of voice performances. Finally, student delegates who had competed were appreciated through awards in various categories, such as group, individual, poster and so on. (MW/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
