IPB University Students Socialize Fahutan Goes to School at MAN 1 Bogor

IPB University students from the Department of Forest Products, Faculty of Forestry and Environment (Fahutan) carried out the Fahutan Goes to School program at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Bogor. This activity aims to introduce topics ranging from the choice of study programs to campus life at Fahutan IPB University.

The socialization was aimed at 12th grade students of MAN 1 Bogor who will continue their studies to the dream campus.

Bunga Maulia, chair of the Fahutan Goes to School socialization team, said that this activity was one of the steps to build an image and attract 12th grade students to become part of Fahutan IPB University in the following year.

“This socialization feels important because many high school students do not know about campus information. Hopefully, with this socialization, it can provide an overview of the point of view in determining the campus and majors in the future,” explained Bunga.

In addition, the Fahutan Goes to School activity was also carried out in order to fulfill the final assignment of the Forestry Extension course. During the activity, the students also provided information about IPB University’s entrance, faculties and study programs, and lecture fun facts.

“From this Fahutan Goes to School activity, it is hoped that it can increase student interest in the world of forestry, especially contributing to the mission of saving forests with Fahutan IPB University,” he said. (*/Rz) (IAAS/MZS)
