IPB University students have a variety of achievements both academically and non-academically. Not only individual achievements, but also for student organizations (Ormawa).

Student Executive Board (BEM KM) IPB University Gagas Masa cabinet provides a forum to appreciate all those who have made the institution proud. The activity was the Student Appreciation Week (Papresi) held on Saturday, (18/11) at Grha Widya Wisuda, IPB Dramaga Campus.

The President of BEM KM IPB University, Imaduddin Abdurrahman said, IPB University students, especially those at the undergraduate level, not only spend four years on campus with lectures. They are active in activities, participating in competitions, and even doing social and agricultural services. This is in order to practice the knowledge gained.

“We should be proud of the achievements of all students who strive to bring the good name of our beloved campus, IPB University,” he said.

Director of Student Affairs of IPB University, Dr Ujang Suwarna revealed, currently, some students of IPB University are struggling in the National Student Science Week (Pimnas) to maintain the first place like last year. According to him, student achievements are not only on campus. One form of achievement is the ability to solve problems in society.

“We must convey our knowledge to others so that we will be more useful later,” he said.

Latif Hidayatul Ikhsan, one of the Papresi participants, thinks that the appreciation given to students will encourage them to continue to be enthusiastic about making achievements for the alma mater.

“I hope this event will encourage everyone. Always give achievements for ourselves and our beloved alma mater. If it’s not us, who else and if it doesn’t start now, when else can we contribute,” said Latif.

On that occasion, Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria advised that the key to success, first is honesty. Second, hard work.

“Of course those of you who aspire to achieve success in the future must consistently maintain good character and work hard. If you have already attained achievements, strive to enhance them further and always uphold honesty, he emphasized.

Among the more than 16 thousand students of IPB University, of course there are still many achievements that can be explored for their potential. Papresi stands as tangible evidence of the significant contributions and accomplishments of IPB University students across various scientific fields.

This event also collaborated with IPB Art Festival 2023, featuring performances by IPB University’s top-level art finalists.”. (*/Rz) (IAAS/MKY)
