Fema IPB University Explores Academic Collaboration with Taylor’s University, Malaysia
The Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema) at IPB University is exploring academic collaboration with Taylor’s University, Malaysia. The exploratory discussions for this collaboration between Fema IPB’s Dean, Dr Sofyan Sjaf, and his delegation with the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Leisure Management, Prof Neethiahnanthan Ari Ragawan, and his team were held in a warm atmosphere.
“Our visit to Taylor’s University is done with the aim to strengthen the existing relationship and fostering goodwill that has been established over time. Besides that, we are exploring opportunities for broader academic cooperation, such as student and staff exchanges, guest lectures, collaborative research development, and academic publications,” stated Dr Sofyan.
The Executive Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Leisure Management at Taylor’s University, Prof Neethiahnanthan, welcomed the collaboration offer. He expressed hope that the collaborative partnership between the two parties could be well-maintained.
“Up to now, we have frequently engaged in faculty exchanges through Guest Lecture activities between IPB University, especially the Department of Communication Science and Community Development (SKPM) at Fema, and Taylor’s University, although it has not been formalized in an official collaboration contract,” stated Prof Neethiahnanthan, accompanied by Ms Prema Ponnudurai, Chairperson of the School of Media and Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences and Leisure Management, and Ms Marzura Binti Abdul Malek.
During the occasion, Dr Megawati Simanjuntak (Vice Dean of Fema IPB University for Academic and Student Affairs), Hana Indriana, MSi (Secretary of the SKPM Department at IPB University), Dr Ninuk Purnaningsih (Commission for Student Affairs and Discipline of the SKPM Department at Fema IPB University), and Titania Aulia, MSi were also present.
