Study Program of Doctoral Program of Aquatic Products Technology (THP), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) IPB University carried out assessment activities in the framework of study program accreditation conducted by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT), Wednesday (13/10) in the FPIK Senate Room, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor.

Prof Deni Noviana, Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs welcomed the arrival of the assessors from BAN-PT.

He said this activity is important to ensure the implementation of the learning process of study programs within the scope of IPB University. Starting from the selection process, learning to output must be done with a good governance process,

“Please allow the assessors to be able to carry out the assessment activities. Of course, any form of impact will be a positive thing for us to continue to make improvements in improving better quality,” he said.

He emphasized that IPB University was ready to facilitate the assessment process. Whatever is needed in the assessment process can be conveyed through the Dean of FPIK or the Head of Study Program.

“If there are things that need to be followed up, we will be ready to implement these recommendations. Congratulations to the assessors and please help so that the assessment process can be carried out well,” he concluded.

The assessor team from BAN-PT, Dr Muhammad Iqbal Djawad said, “I believe the THP Doctoral Program has the potential to develop a more flexible learning curriculum. Hopefully what is expected by the friends of the THP S3 Study Program can be achieved,” he said.

Another assessor, Dr Daduk Setyohadi, said that he believed that everything that had been written in the assessment document was correct, although some things needed to be discussed and adjusted.

Dean of FPIK IPB University, Prof Fredinan Yulianda, said that the field assessment process of the THP Doctoral Program had gone well. What is said by the assessor team will be an important note.

“Because whatever is said both positive and critical can improve the quality of the study program, because quality is not a final destination but a journal destination. The process is an effort to improve quality,”

“Hopefully the assessment results can motivate us to continue to improve quality. We must show that what has been assessed by the assessors is on the track,” he concluded. (Lp) (IAAS/TNY)
