IPB University Archery Athletes Earn 6 Medals in National Indoor Archery Championship

IPB University’s Archery Student Activity Unit (UKM) made another achievement in the National Indoor Competition IPB Archery Open (IAO) 2023. As the host of the event, the IPB University contingent won 6 medals.

The score consists of 1 gold medal in the category of recurve general woman team (634), 1 silver medal in the category of recurve student woman team (660) and 4 bronze medals in the category of recurve student mixed team (406), compound general men team (633), national standard high school / general women team (611), compound general mixed team (516).

The coach of IPB Archery student activity unit, Dr drh Mokhamad Fakhrul Ulum is optimistic about the potential possessed by students. The reason is, they can reorganize and be able to compete with athletes throughout Indonesia in winning medals with their extraordinary potential.

“Congratulations and success are always conveyed to the organizing committee and athletes who also donated medals to IPB University at this event. Hopefully a lot of knowledge will be obtained during preparation, implementation and post-activity for future career provision, “he said.

This achievement is part of the Freedom of Learning – Independence Campus (MBKM) learning which is embodied through the process of organizing national scale activities for IPB University Archery UKM students. No less important, the acquisition of medals for students who act as athletes also helped to carve out their achievements as part of developing their interests and talents, especially archery.

“Through each shot, they not only won a medal, but also carved an inspiring story for the entire community,” said Faris Abdurrafi as Chairman of IPB Archery student activity unit.
