Students from IPB University who participated in the Innovation Real-Thematic Work Lecture (KKN-T) in Cigondewah Kaler Village, Bandung Kulon District, Bandung City, West Java, carried out the program 'Lonceng Berdenting untuk Duta Berlian' (Optimal Steps to Prevent Stunting, Learning to Detect Stunting in Healthy, Intelligent, Agile, and Desirable Toddlers). The activities were held at the Hall of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Bandung City Department of Industry and Trade, in Cigondewah Kaler Village.

A representative of the IPB University students, Indah Apriyanti Devi, stated that the series of activities began with the Duta Berlian competition. In this competition, there were five assessment aspects, namely the mother's status, healthy behavior, nutritional status of toddlers, physical condition, and motor development of toddlers.

"The examination was assisted by the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) and the Family Empowerment Cadres (PKK) of Cigondewah. The competition was participated in by 19 participants representing each integrated health post in Cigondewah Kaler Village," said Indah.

After the Duta Berlian competition, the activities continued with the socialization of measurement and prevention of stunting presented by Dr Yulina Eva Riany, a lecturer from the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Faculty of Human Ecology, IPB University. The socialization was attended by Posyandu cadres, PKK cadres and parents of the Duta Berlian competition participants.

"Collaboration between the government, academia, and the community is needed to realize a stunting-free region," said Dr Eva during the socialization. In addition, she also explained that the lack of nutritional intake, low family food resilience, and improper parenting practices are among the causes of stunting.

The activities received a positive response from the PKK cadres, the community health center, and the community of Cigondewah Kaler. This was demonstrated by more than 90 percent of the integrated health posts sending representatives to participate in the Duta Berlian competition. The activity concluded with the announcement of the competition winner, won by Posyandu Anyelir 1. (*/Rz) (IAAS/DSR)
