In order to increase resilience for deputy deans (wadek) and departmental secretaries (sekdep) within IPB University, the Directorate of Human Resources held an Organizational Governance Workshop (10/8). This workshop took place in the Academic Senate Meeting Room, Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, Dramaga Campus of IPB.

The HR Director of IPB University, Dr Heti Mulyati revealed that this workshop had been held for the third time. It is hoped that this workshop can strengthen organizational governance at IPB University. “There are a number of things that we must update to strengthen the governance that we have implemented so far,” said Dr Heti.

According to him, provision like this needs to be seriously understood so that it can reduce the mistakes that occurred in the previous administration. Of course, this provision is expected to provide benefits as well so that it can maintain the various achievements that have been achieved by IPB University.

Vice Rector of IPB University in the field of Resource and Infrastructure Resilience, Dr. Alim Setiawan Slamet who was also present at the activity emphasized that what was presented in this workshop needed to be known and understood by the deputy and secretary of department within IPB University.

“This is a common space in equating perceptions related to organizational governance. Because, basically the deputy deans and the secretary of departments are given the mandate as officials or as managers in each unit,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Planning for IPB University, Prof Hari Wijayanto explained that the types of planning at IPB University are divided into four, namely long-term plans, medium-term plans, annual plans and thematic plans.

Prof Hari also added that programs or activities at IPB University are divided into two, namely the mandatory program and the main program. Several mandatory programs include salaries and benefits for civil servants, expenditures for non-PNS lecturers and educational staff (tendik) and performance incentives. The main programs include organizing teaching and learning activities and maintaining educational facilities and infrastructure. (Ns/Rz) (IAAS/SND)
