Achievement

In the 2023 Indonesia Government Public Relations Award (IGA) which was held by Indonesian Public Relations in Makassar (16/5), IPB University won 7 awards from various categories. Present to receive this award, the Vice Rector of IPB University for Resource and Infrastructure Resilience, Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet accompanied by the Chair of the Communications Bureau, Yatri Indah Kusumastuti.

The following 7 awards in the field of public relations were awarded to IPB University in this competition which was attended by various institutions and public relations people in Indonesia:

2. Gold Winner-Best Government Public Relations Program Category, Higher Education Sector, Social Program Sub Category
3. Prof Dr Arif Satria, Most Popular Category in Online Reporting Media 2023, Chancellor’s Sub Category
4. Gold Winner-Siti Nuryati, STP, MSi, Best Government Public Relations Category, Higher Education Sector, ASN Group III/d Sub Category

The Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria expressed his gratitude for this achievement. He also appreciated this achievement. “Alhamdulillah, I am grateful that IPB University has succeeded in getting a platinum winner in the public relations sector. We are also proud of the Communications Bureau team who continue to improve communication performance and continue to strive to provide the best information to the public,” said Prof Arif Satria.

Furthermore, the Rector hopes, “Hopefully this achievement can be an encouragement to be even better in providing services in the field of communication.” He emphasized that public relations work is not aimed at imaging, but rather to communicate work.

The Head of the IPB University Communication Bureau, Yatri Indah Kusumastuti said that this achievement was due to the support and cooperation of various work units at IPB University. Regarding participation in this competition, Yatri said, “Our participation in various public relations competitions is a kind of barometer for our public relations performance. Where has our journey been, this is a form of evaluating the programs that have been carried out and what still needs to be improved going forward. ,” she said.

For more than two months, a number of corporations, ministries, institutions and local governments have competed in the 2023 IGA event. The 2023 IGA judging took place in two stages, preliminary and presentation rounds. The jury decided that 61 entries passed the preliminary round. Furthermore, the participants took part in the presentation round which was held in a hybrid manner for two consecutive days from 3-4 May 2023 involving five judges.

The judges for this award were Asmono Wikan (Founder and CEO of PR INDONESIA Group), Emilia Bassar (CEO Center for Public Relations, Outreach and Communication), Jojo Suharjo Nugroho (Chairman of the Association of Public Relations Companies / APPRI), Maria Wongsonagoro (Public Relations Consultant) and Janette Maria Pinariya (Vice Chancellor 1 London School of Public Relations/LSPR).
