Three IPB University Student Teams Wins Champion in Gemastik XII 2019
The contingent of IPB University students won three awards at the 2019 National Student Performance Field Program (Gemastik) at Telkom University (24-27 / 10), Bandung West Java. IPB University students managed to get one gold medal and two hope champion medals. Gemastik is a program from the Directorate of Student Affairs, the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) RI.
"There are nine teams of IPB University students who made it into the final round. Alhamdulillah there were three teams that managed to get a medal. One gold medal and two hope champion medals. The IPB University contingent in this competition consisted of nine teams spread in five competition divisions. These are three teams in the Cyber Security division, two teams in the Software Development division, two teams in the Data Mining division, one team in the ICT Business division and one team in the Programming division. The contingent consists of 27 students from five study programs. Namely Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Communication Science and Community Development and Computer Engineering along with supervisors and support teams, "said Director of Student Affairs and Career Development, Dr. Alim Setiawan.
The student team that managed to get the gold medal were Yasmin Salamah, Tsonya Yumna Afifa, Rahma Dany Asyifa with the supervisor lecturer Auzi Asfarian, Mkom. They managed to get a gold medal in the field of Software Development. Yasmin and the team develop Thymun. Namely Smart Health Community to improve the health and well-being of people with autoimmune conditions in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Danakirti team managed to get the hope champion in the field of ICT Business. Danakirti is a Future Breeder Society through livestock traceability to improve the competitiveness of smallholder farmers in Indonesia. The team consisted of Yudit Yudiarto, Fadia Ramadhana, Ahmad Al-Banjaran Coeur d'Alene with supervisor: Dr Yani Nurhadryani.
And in the field of Data Mining, the IPB University team also won the championship hopes with a team consisting of Willyam, Faldi Sulistiawan, Audhi Aprilliant and supervisor lecturer Dr. Imas S Sitanggang. They carried out the Identification of Potential Areas and Estimates of Wind Power Potential in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) using the Deep Neural Network. (NR)
