Dedicating her life as an activist, Ayida Martas Sulfa, a student of the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, Faculty of Agriculture of Bogor Agricultural University (FAPERT IPB) is untiringly and consistently fight for Indonesian agriculture. She has excellent organizing ability meaning to manage the student organization so she was elected as the National Director of the International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS) Indonesia.

IAAS is an international organization based on the development of science and technology in agriculture. IAAS World was established 50 years ago and currently this international organization has committees in 50 countries. IAAS is currently the largest agricultural student organization in the world.

"In Indonesia, IAAS has been established since 25 years ago, when Dr. Arif Satria (at present the Dean of FEMA IPB) was a student, along with other colleagues spearheaded the establishment of IAAS Indonesia," said Winner of The Most Outstanding Oral Presentation Award at the 2016 Asia Pacific Agriculture Undergraduate Project Competition, at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan.

National Director or commonly known as the President of IAAS Indonesia to promote, organize and run all activities and events as well as encourage active participation of local committees in Indonesia. "The National Director of IAAS is responsible for all communications and relationships with IAAS World and IAAS in other countries, as well as diplomacy with other organizations and institutions at home and abroad," Ayida explained.

Ayida recounted her experiences with IAAS in each period. Beginning as a regular  member until now she is the President of IAAS Indonesia. The year 2016 had been the busiest year for her, because she served as Local Committee Director for IAAS IPB. At the same time she also organized IAAS World Congress carried out in Indonesia, as well as joining the competition  in Taiwan.

"I have tried to split my time between implementing my research program, try to make achievements in scientific and academic programs, but I am really grateful as the IAAS environment is very supportive, so I have divided my available time and my work load into manageable chunks. Thus I have to sacrifice my spare time and other routine activities, but  I think I live in my passion.  For me, before I can manage my time, I need to know what it is I must manage. I have to utilize my time as wisely as possible, and make priority, "she said. (Wied)
