“Free Flower” Distribution to Socialize Indonesia Floriculture 2017
The Organizing Committee for Indonesian Floriculture 2017 (FI 2017) established a campaign action by distributing at the exit of Jagorawi toll road, Bogor, on 15 July 2017. This action is a series of socialization program for FI 2017.
According to one of the volunteers for this action, the "Free Flower" program is the right and tangible action toward the establishment of Floriculture Indonesia. The community will be more familiar with the potential and diversity of our flower products, so it will arouse the pride of local wisdom and a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction of local product, thus the Indonesian Floriculture 2017 will be well-implemented.
The target of the "Free Flower" program was for four-wheeled riders who will go into Bogor City. Together with this program, other serial programs such as parades, bursa, and various competitions were also socialized by volunteers for riders who bring along their families.
The communities were enthusiastic to have such Socialization of FI 2017. One of the riders expressed his desire and interest to join the “bursa” event, as he wanted to see and study the development of the floriculture industry in Indonesia.
Hopefully, the information on "Free Flower" 2017 is well-disseminated among the communities in Bogor. In addition, it is also expected that public at large will be able to interpret and be part of one of these historic events, as well as witness the rise of the national floriculture industry.
The FI 2017 event was organized by the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Bogor City Government and the Asosiasi Bunga Indonesia (ASBINDO Indonesian Flower Association), and will be implemented by Himpunan Mahasiswa Agronomi dan Hortikultura IPB (HIMAGRON – Agronomy and Horticulture Student Association of IPB), Agrisocio, and Himpunan Agronomy Alumni IPB (HAAI the Association of Alumni Agronomy of IPB).
As scheduled, the FI 2017 will be held on 24, 28 and 29-30 July 2017. Monday, 24 July 2017 was the Opening and Declaration of Indonesian Floriculture Day by Coordinating Minister for Economy, then followed by the Floriculture Exhibition, and the National Dialogue on Floriculture at Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, Jakarta. Then, Friday, 28 July 2017, the national seminar (for invitation), to be held at IPB International Convention Center (IICC) Bogor.
The peak of the event will be on Saturday and Sunday, 29-30 July 2017, will be held by the Bursa Pertanian (Agricultural Exchanges), Culinary sales, Flower Arrangement Competition, Fashion Showt, and Carnival enlivened by Ornamental Car, Marching Band, and flowers-drafted Parade in IPB campus, Baranangsiang, Bogor.
