IPB University Receives Land Waqf to Support Education

The Business, Investment and Waqf Management Agency (BP Biswaf) of IPB University as the waqf manager (nazhir) received a waqf of 1.3 hectares of land located in Cihideung Ilir, Ciampea, Bogor. This land is intended for supporting activities, education, research, productive business and community empowerment. The acceptance of the waqf was marked by the signing of the waqf pledge held at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Ciampea District, Bogor Regency.

The land waqf pledge was carried out by Akhmad Mirza as the waqif and the power of attorney of the heirs of the late Akhmad Mastur Amien to the Chairman of BP Biswaf IPB University, Naufal Mahfudz as nazhir in the presence of the Head of KUA Ciampea District and Tamba Tuah Matondang as the Waqf Pledge Deed Official (PPAIW). The signing of the pledge was also witnessed by Adi Rahman and Andika Budi Purnomo as well as Deputy Head of BP Biswaf, Dr. Alla Asmara, Deputy Head of Business Unit and Partnership, Dr. Ahmad Yani and other IPB University waqf managers who attended.

The landowner has mandated and endowed the land to IPB University to be used as a means of supporting educational activities, research, productive businesses and community empowerment. The waqf is expected to benefit not only the academic community of IPB University, but also the general public.

Akhmad Mirza as the heir's attorney said that the waqf was a mandate from the late Akhmad Mastur Amien, who was the parent of the person concerned. He hoped that this waqf could provide benefits for IPB University and the community around the waqf land.

"Thank you to the wakif who has endowed the land located in Cihideung Ilir to IPB University. We are committed to managing and using the waqf land optimally, so that the waqf will continue to be a charitable investment for the wakif," said Naufal Mahfudz, Head of BP Biswaf IPB University.

Similarly, Dr. Alla Asmara, representing the nazir of IPB University, also expressed his gratitude to the wakif who had become a pioneer of land waqf. He added that what was done by the wakif would inspire other prospective wakifs. (*/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
