LKST IPB University Holds Workshop Matching Fund Batch 1 2023

The Center of Institute for Science and Technology Park (LKST) IPB University presented 17 researchers/innovators to take part in the Matching Fund Workshop Batch 1 2023. On that occasion, the innovators received exposure regarding the financial system, procurement system and IPB University's internal audit. This activity was held in the Startup Building Ballroom, Science Techno Park (STP) IPB University, Taman Kencana Campus, Bogor (12/6).

In her remarks, the Head of LKST IPB University, Prof Erika B Laconi said, through this event her party wants to ensure that all partners continue to collaborate.

"Last year, 65 of our proposals were funded out of nearly 70 proposals submitted," said Prof Erika. She hopes that every year there will be an increase in the quantity of beneficiaries in the Kedaireka program.

Furthermore, with the works that have been produced, Prof Erika wants three benefits for lecturers with their innovations.

"First, even though the lecturers retire or finish their assignments, innovation with the community will never be finished. Therefore, LKST IPB University will connect researchers or innovators to be able to partner with industry for royalties from the intellectual work that has been produced," she said.

Second, Prof Erika continued, lecturers as experts must also be respected as sources of their expertise. Third, if there is a company that grows and develops through a startup, it is hoped that one or two of the innovators can become commissioners in the company, so that monitoring of existing innovations can be carried out.
