In the implementation of the Computer-Based Written Test-National Selection Based Test (UTBK-SNBT) 2023 Phase II at IPB University, parents were seen dropping off and waiting for their children to finish the exam.

At one of the exam locations, precisely at the Institute for Information Management and Digital Transformation (LMITD) Building, IPB Dramaga Campus, parents were seen sitting on chairs in front of the library.

As parents who hope their children pass the UTBK-SNBT exam, mixed feelings are trying to be eliminated by telling stories and greeting each other waiting for their child's exam time to end.

Rakim, one of the parents of UTBK-SNBT participants, said that he started from his home in Batu Ceper, Tangerang City since before dawn. At 03.30 WIB he left to take his child on a motorcycle. "I left early, afraid that my child would be late for the exam. Alhamdulillah, I arrived at IPB Dramaga Campus at 05.15 WIB," he said.

Rakim, who is an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver, said he was willing to work hard for the sake of his child to reach his dream campus.

"I am an ojol driver. I usually leave to look for customers from 07.00 to 21.00 WIB. I do whatever I have to do to see my children succeed," he said.

Rakim admits that he is not worried about tuition fees. He believes that education is the main thing and the foundation of knowledge in his family. "Hopefully, I can pass the exam. The most important thing is that my children are happy and excited to continue their studies," he said. (dr/Rz) (IAAS/MKY)
