The rector said, communication is not a matter of conveying messages, but how to be able to interact with other people as well as possible. The message conveyed must have credibility so that it is easily absorbed and followed because of a strong basis of legitimacy.
"Therefore, in communicating it is important for us to strengthen emotional intelligence," he said. The rector added, there are four measures of emotional intelligence, namely self awareness, self management, empathy, and relationship management.
“People with self-awareness know and are able to manage themselves. With self-management, we can position ourselves, understand what will potentially cause problems so that he can avoid things that are out of character," he added.
Thirdly, he continued, is empathy, namely feeling the feelings of others. Finally, relationship management makes it easier for someone to manage other people's relationships well.
"If everyone has the same passion and is able to strengthen good relationship management, then this will also be able to manage the organization well." The rector finished his message to the appointed officials to continue to make achievements. (dh/Rz) (IAAS/SND)
