IPB University Students at Pondok Inspirasi Get Golden Opportunity to Learn English with the Director of Indonesia Institute
As a global need, English language education has become an obligation for every academic person. This is also the enthusiasm of IPB University students who are members of the Pondok Inspirasi dormitory to continue to improve their English skills. One of the golden opportunities, they had the opportunity to take part in direct training from Vicki Richardson, Director of the Indonesia Institute.
Welcoming the activities that will be obtained, one of the IPB University students, Bima Sukma Aji expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for this activity.
"I like learning English. With Ms Vicki coming to IPB University and Pondok Inspirasi, of course I can learn a lot from her. Something that is rarely obtained. I am very enthusiastic for this," he said.
Vicky is a teacher in Australia who is very concerned about Indonesian education. She is passionate about providing the best education in Indonesia and Australia.
As proof of Vicky's love for education, she goes every two months to live in Indonesia and the next two months in Australia. This is because Vicki once had a difficult time getting an education because her parents forbade her to do so, so she was only able to experience college at the age of 39.
Vicki is currently the Director of the Indonesia Institute, which focuses on education in East Java. The founder of the Building Relations through Intercultural Dialogue and Growing Engagement (BRIDGE) program will expand her love for education by teaching English to IPB University students at Pondok Inspirasi.
The program will be implemented in June 2023 for one week.
"Yes, I will stay at Pondok Inspirasi for one week to teach English and the struggle for good education," she said.
Vicki is currently in Surabaya to succeed various education programs between Indonesia and Australia, especially education for street children. (*/Rz) (IAAS/RUM))
