IPB University Rector Inaugurates Serambi Botani Café at Pacific Place Jakarta
IPB University inaugurated Serambi Botani Cafe at Pacific Place, Jakarta on (16/3). The Serambi Botani Cafe booth at Pacific Place is one part of the realization of the collaboration between Artha Graha Group and IPB University.
Booth Serambi Botani is operated by PT Bogor Life Science & Technology (BLST) which is the holding company of IPB University along with several subsidiaries, namely PT Serambi Botani Indonesia, PT Fits Mandiri, SBU IPB International Convention Center & Hotel.
PT Fits Mandiri is a subsidiary of PT BLST that provides functional food and beverages from the innovation of IPB University academicians.
SBU IPB International Convention Center & Hotel is engaged in the convention, hotel, cafe and restaurant business which also serves healthy and functional food and beverage products which are the result of innovation from the academic community of IPB University.
Prof Arif Satria as Rector of IPB University conveyed that Serambi Botani booths currently number 22, including in 4 locations. Namely Botani Square (Bogor), Gandaria City, Artha Gading Mall (Jakarta), and Grand Metropolitan (Bekasi).
According to him, IPB University always produces innovations that have healthy and environmentally friendly values. This is proof that the innovations produced are in accordance with market needs.
“The hope of IPB University, Serambi Botani presents healthy innovations to meet the needs of the community,” said Prof. Arif.
In addition, he explained that the innovations produced could also inspire all parties to produce products with better values. Thus, there will be more benefits for the public and industry.
Dr Naufal Mahfudz, Director of PT BLST said with the opening of Serambi Botani Cafe, BLST not only sells static (raw) products, but also sells processed products that are ready to consume.
“Not only food and drinks, but Serambi Botani Cafe also sells beauty products such as skincare, for example soap, of course using healthy and natural ingredients,” he said.
According to him, in the post-pandemic era, people are more concerned about health, so the products at Serambi Botani are the solution.
“The development direction of Serambi Botani focuses on two main points, namely Serambi Botani products are produced from innovations created by the academic community which will later be commercialized. Then, we also present products that are healthy and come from natural resources without preservatives. That is what makes one’s health maintained,” he said. (Ns/Zul) (IAAS/ARD)
