Closing of 56th Anniversary of IPB University was enlivened with Cheap Markets and Agrianita Stars

The closing ceremony of the IPB University Anniversary event was enlivened by the Cheap Market and Agrianita Star in the Rectorate Field, Dramaga Campus (5/10).  Agrianita is an IPB University women’s organization consisting of female lecturers, female educational staff (tendik), lecturer wives, tendik wives and retired women.

Neno Arif Satria as the Chair of Agrianita IPB University for the period 2017-2023 explained that in making the program, Agrianita rests on three things namely must be useful, must be of high quality and must be highly competitive.  “This is in line with Agrianita’s main vision of being a benchmark for other women’s organizations under the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti).  We have a web, our own YouTube channel and a membership card, “he said.

Associated with the activities of the Cheap Market, Neno said that the activity was held to provide opportunities for all residents of IPB University to be able to shop for basic necessities at lower prices.  This is one form of community service performed by Agrianita for residents of IPB University.

In this Bazaar there are stands that sell vegetables, fruit, fish, meat, food stalls, health products, cakes and beverages from local products to plantation plots.

In addition to the Discount Market, there is also Bintang Agrianita IPB University, a singing competition between faculties or work units.  This activity aims to channel the hobbies of the members because not a few IPB University residents both lecturers and students who have hidden talents.

“So today we are uniting them in a singing competition that all campus residents can take part in.  I was very happy because it turned out that each team consisted of student lecturers and education staff.  We can unite them on one stage.  In addition, each team wore traditional costumes from various regions, “he said.

In between the activities there was also an inauguration of the IPB University Ambassador who was specifically appointed by the Rector of IPB University, Dr. Arif Satria.  In his remarks Dr. Arif said that the ambassadors carried out tasks related to the promotion of IPB University, helping the success of activities at the IPB University level and building self-image of IPB University.

“The task of this ambassador is not only for them but it is also our duty to continue to promote IPB University, continue to maintain IPB University’s reputation and hopefully we are not easily consumed by hoaxes, it is not easy to write on social media with speculative things. If there are a thousand who corner IPB  University then we must post 1100 which supports IPB University, 1100 good news about IPB University. Social media is difficult to control, therefore we must balance with achievements, works and good news about IPB University, “he said.

The Chancellor hopes that through this activity, the cohesiveness of the residents of IPB University will be better maintained, more solid, creativity will grow.  “And the important thing is between Tendik, students and lecturers becoming more united to unite in order to advance our IPB,” said the Chancellor when closing this event as well as closing the series of events of the 56th Anniversary of IPB University.  The series of activities in commemoration of the 56th Anniversary of IPB University has been held since 1 September.  (IR / Zul)
