Facing such a rapid technological development, students must get qualified supplies so they can take advantage of technological sophistication. This was discussed in the Studium Generale of the Politics of Agriculture, initiated by the Faculty of Agriculture, which discussed the issue of Agriculture in the Industrial Age 4.0 and the Digitalization of Agriculture.

Si and moderated by Dr. Ernan Rustiadi, M. Agr.
In his presentation, Dr. Kasdi said that to achieve food sovereignty, in the next five years, one of the focuses of our agricultural development would be the development of human resources.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Damayanti Buchori, M.Sc said that the development of knowledge that no longer knows the boundaries of space and time requires the science of sustainability. Even now IPB University is trying to provide a new school, the School of Sustainability Science, which will focus on discussing transdiscipline from various scholars. “Don’t think only about technology but also think about humanity. “Humanity can never be defeated by machines, forever,” he added.
In addition, in this digital age, mental readiness is also needed. According to Dr. Ahmad Junaedi, the most important thing is how we become players rather than being played. Students must have the ability to mobilize resources or experts who have the competence to collaborate. (SHM / Zul)
