The Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) of IPB University  coordinated and socialized with the Regional Government of Purbalingga Regency regarding the implementation of the Agromaritic Action Research 4.0 activities that will be carried out in Purbalingga Regency. This research is a form of activity in filling out the IPB University Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Regional Government of Purbalingga Regency, Central Java. In this collaboration, the Rice Estate Community (KEP) will be developed towards smart agriculture in the field of rice farming and the People's Animal Husbandry School (SPR) in Purbalingga Regency.

Head of LPPM IPB University, Dr. Ir. Aji Hermawan said that KEP is a concept of farmer group business institutions adopted from the concept of the People's Animal School (SPR) initiated by LPPM IPB University in 2013. The IPB University 4.0 agromarital action research will be conducted in Bukateja Village, Bukateja District, Purbalingga Regency. Research through funding sources in the 2019 budget from the funding of the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti), is a continuation of research in 2018 through the Research Scholarship funding scheme for 10 Universities.

"The IPB University Team does not only coordinate with the Purbalingga Regency Government, but on the same day also coordinated with the Land Owner and Cultivator Representative Forum (FP4L) KEP Mekar Kesuma Tani in Bukateja Village which was formed from the results of research in 2018 on November 14, 2018. it is necessary to submit a follow-up action research plan from 2018. "Farmers must be consolidated so that they do not work independently so farmers have begun to lead Collective Businesses and congregations so that they can be independent and sovereign," said Dr. Aji went to Purbalingga, Central Java, (22/4).

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Research Division at LPPM IPB University, Prof. Dr. drh. Agik Suprayogi said that the implementation of action research in Kab. Purbalingga is an implementation of the concept and development of IPB University Agromaritim 4.0 Research launched by the Rector of IPB University. The application of research with the Agromaritim 4.0 concept must be carried out wisely and wisely by considering the conditions of the local community, with a length of time of study of approximately three years.

"The hope is that there is a role and responsibility for the Regional Government of Purbalingga Regency, so that this will produce the first superior and modern KEP innovation model in Indonesia, and can be replicated to other regions," he said.

Responding to this, the Regional Secretary of Purbalingga welcomed the KEP and SPR program delivered by the IPB University LPPM team and would instruct and coordinate the regional organizations involved to be able to share their roles with IPB University in realizing the presence of KEP and SPR in Purbalingga Regency.

The KEP and SPR IPB research in Purbalingga Regency will also involve local universities, namely the University of Sudirman (UNSOED). The team of LPPM IPB University  coordinated with LPPM UNSOED, and on that occasion the LPPM UNSOED welcomed and expressed a desire to join the IPB research program conducted in Purbalingga Regency.
