IPB Initiates Partnership With PT. Jiva Samudra Biru

IPB University (IPB) signed a memorandum of understanding with PT. Jiva Samudra Biru to improve business and entrepreneurship programs in IPB. The signing was done in IPB Rector Assembly Room, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (18/4).

According to IPB’s Rector, Dr. Arif Satria, the partnership with PT. Jiva Samudra Biru could be a positive energy in improving business, empowerment and development of entrepreneurship, also improvement in small medium enterprises (UKM) in Indonesia. The Rector is optimistic that this partnership could reduce the gap between technological advancement and farmers’ limited capacity through technological transformation to farmers.

“This is a strategic partnership to improve business expansion, capacity improvement of entrepreneurship and UKM empowerment in Indonesia. I hope that the partnership can be followed up and carried out immediately. We have IPB Science Technology Park, which can work alongside PT. Jiva Samudra Biru to improve UKM and empower Indonesian farmers so that agriculture production could be boosted,” he said.

The President Director of PT. Jiva Samudra Biru, Mohd Ilyas Bhat said that PT. Jiva Samudra Biru focuses on developing education, businesses, entrepreneurship, and technology. “Our company is in line with Industrial Revolution 4.0 era which prioritizes digital technology that demands for better businesses. About the partnership with IPB, currently we have several programs conducted, such as internship and entrepreneurship trainings,” he said. (Ard)
