IPB University has a long-term plan in 2045 which clearly stated IPB;s steps towards the future. That is to become a Socio-Techno Entrepreneurial University.

“It is a communal dream for all of us to be capable of creating future leaders. Therefore, one of the steps we are willing to take is to add additional quota admissions through the OSIS leaders admission path this year and is planned to amount up to 200 students. We also will adding double the budget for the development and maintenance of the laboratory, “said Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria is during the Rector’s Dialogue with students in the Mandiri Auditorium, Dramaga Campus, Bogor (6/3).

In the dialogue initiated by the Student Executive Board (BEM) Student Affiars (KM) the Board of Directors of IPB were given the opportunity to attend.

Before deploying the dialogue, BEM KM already asked for the aspiration of students from all faculties in IPB. Students also expressed their aspirations ranging from the fields of Green Campus, academic facilities, improving achievement and academic quality, student welfare, until Tuition (UKT) and scholarships. “May the aspirations that we have gathered from all elements of these students can all be responded by the rector, “said Muhammad Nurdiansyah, President of IPB students during the opening of the dialogue.

During this occasion, students are also asking about the process of re-branding IPB into IPB University. Answering the question about re-branding, Dr. Arif Satria said that the process of re-branding IPB is an attempt to make IPB became better known in the community.

“To mention the name in Indonesian, nothing at all has changed, it is still known as IPB. When mentiond in English initially Bogor Agricultural University, now the University of IPB. The aim is that the designation “IPB” that is well known in Indonesian society can be known internationally. Even our jargon IPB IPB better characterize as a campus of innovation with integrity. Therefore we make Inspiring Innovation with Integrity as the jargon of our pride. Re-branding process was carried out through research for five months, led by an alumni of IPB who are experts in the field of branding and finding respondents research ranging from students, faculty, government, the alumni to the general public, “he said.
