IPB Rector, Dr. Arif Satria said that the inauguration became a partnership symbol between IPB and PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. “The collaboration between IPB and Bank BTN has long been established and we are now extending the collaboration,” said Dr. Arif at the inauguration of the BTN Zone which was held on Friday (2/22).

Dr. Arif added that the library building was chosen as the location for the BTN Zone development because it was one of the strategic places visited by many students. Therefore, he continued, the BTN Zone was built so that students were more comfortable when doing their assignments in the library.

Different from other rooms in the library, students are allowed to bring food and drinks into the rooms in BTN Zone. Students can also enjoy the cozy and cool environment because BTN Zone is facilitated with internet, AC, and others that can support the students’ activities.

After inaugurated BTN Zone, Dr. Arif Satria also signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Bank BTN. He hoped that through this partnership, IPB could increase the partnership in business and technology development.

“Unlike the previous generation of students, by looking at the current trend of students, we must strengthen the infrastructure in the field of technology so that students can pour their creativity,” said Dr. Arif.

Director of Strategic, Risk, and Compliance of PT. BTN (Persero), R Mahelan Prabantarikso also supports the effort of IPB to transform digitally. He also explained that BTN supported researches done by IPB.

“Not only in business, but we also hope that collaboration with academics such as IPB can open other business opportunities so that it can strengthen cooperation with IPB,” said Mahelan.
