IPB Students Compete their Soccer Agility in Domba Cup 2018

Student Association of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) from Garut are incorporated in the Regional Student Organization (Omda) held the 2018 Domba Cup which was held by the students calling themselves the Student Association of Garut (Himaga). 24 other Omda were invited to show ability in the soccer competition in IPB Dramaga, Bogor (1-18 / 12). Domba Cup itself is a soccer championship with prize money, certificates, medals and trophies.

Ivan Fathur Rahman as Chairman of the committee said Domba Cup has been held regularly since 2010. The name Domba Cup is due tot he fact that this activity is initiated by students from Garut. "As well as the food dodol that is well known from Garut, Garut is also famous for the sheep (in Indonesian it is called Domba). Sheep are characterized as  tough fighters, "he said.

Domba Cup aims to improve the health of IPB students with regular exercise and as a good event for the name of each Omda. Domba Cup this year had the theme which was taken from the Sanskrit word  "Abhinaya Satria Binaraga", which means the spirit of sportsmanship in sports.

"The theme is made for all the participants who take part of the sports games uphold sportsmanship in sports. Holding this event was not to prove the most powerful, or who the best soccer player is, but to forge unity amongst Omda IPB, "said Irvan.

Reynaldi Satria 2018 as the Himga Chairman said "Suruduk Aduken Edankeun" as the jargon or as encouragement that is carried by supporters of the Himaga team IPB 2018. (AVR)
