Dr. Peter Van der Meer and Mrs TAM (Tjallie) Botden-Scheltinga of Van Hall Larenstein (VHL) visited the Vocational School Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB SV), Wednesday (7 // 11). The visit was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the School of Vocational IPB, Dr. Ir. Arief Daryanto, DipAgEc accompanied by the Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs SV-IPB, Dr. Ir. Good P. Purwanto and the ranks of professors SV IPB.

"Partnership with the Dutch VHL is a very valuable opportunity to strengthen the international reputation SV-IPB. With the involvement of VHL, then applied studies related to the development of global trade supply chain can be improved, "said Dr. Daryanto.

According to Dr. Arief Daryanto, at this time the SV-IPB middle cooperating with various universities of the world which is oriented to the development of applied sciences. Some colleges include: Global Food and Resource Studies University of Adelaide, Melbourne Polytechnic Institute, HAS University of Applied Sciences, Ngee An Polytechnic and Tamasek Polytechnic.

Van Hall Larenstein (VHL) is a top university in the Netherlands that is oriented towards the development of applied science. They call the university as the most sustainable university of applied science. The curriculum undergraduate, master, training and research in VHL focusing on areas of the delta areas and resources, food and dairy, animal and business. 

Dr. Peter and Mrs. Tjallie been to SV-IPB to explore cooperation in research on the topic of global value chain and cooperation master's program in Management of Development and Agricultural Production Chain Management. Currently the SV-IPB and VHL is implementing revitalization projects with Agricultural Vocational High School (SMK)  funded by the Dutch government. (AVR)
